INSTALLING BODY PANELS
Build Hopper
Hints for success with very small screws:
The screws are magnetic. If you are having trouble magnetizing them to the screwdriver, rub the screwdriver along the motor to help.
If you seem to be missing screws, check to see if any are stuck to the motors.
When installing screws, do not overtighten! This will cause the screws to become stripped and make removing them difficult during disassembly.
If any screws are difficult to align with the screw holes, the screw holes can be expanded by gently inserting and twisting the screwdriver into the screw holes.
Steps to install body panels:
Bottom Body Panel − Use 4 screws to attach the black, bottom body panel to the airframe. Make sure the PCB is lined up properly under the panel.
Inner Front Body Panel − Use 2 screws to attach the black, inner front body panel to the airframe. Only the bottom 2 screw holes are used in this step. Make sure the PCB is lined up properly under the panel.
Top Body Panel − Use 3 screws to attach the gray, top body panel to the airframe.
Outer Front Body Panel − Use 2 screws to attach the green, outer front body panel to the airframe.
Top Hat Body Panel − Align the small, black rectangular panel with the upper holes on the airframe and snap it in.
Airfoil
A body (such as an airplane wing or propeller blade) designed to provide a desired reaction force when in motion relative to the surrounding air
Airframe
The Airframe is the main body of the drone that every other component attaches to
Anti-Clockwise [A]
Anti-Clockwise (or Counter Clockwise) [A] motion is one that proceeds in the opposite direction as a clock's hands
Battery
Energy source used to supply power to the drone
Clockwise [C]
Clockwise [C] motion is one that proceeds in the same direction as a clock's hands
Firmware
Firmware is permanent software programmed into a read-only memory
Gimbal
The mechanism that allows for different position of the camera on the drone
Micro-USB
a miniaturized version of the Universal Serial Bus interface which enables the direct charging of the drone's battery
Motor
A motor is powered by electricity that supplies motive power for moving parts
PCB
A Printed Circuit Board is a board design with a base board and copper traces to maintain connectivity between electronic components such as LED's, integrated circuits, and resistors for your devices
Propeller Twist
A differece in angle between the blade at its tip, and at the point where it meets the propller hub
Propellers
Mechanical device for propelling an aircraft or boat, consisting of a revolving shaft with two or more broad, angled blades attached to it
