FTW FLY APP

Fly Hopper

To use the FTW FLY app to fly Hopper, a bluetooth enabled device, such as a smartphone or a tablet, is required.


Steps to connect Hopper to FTW FLY App:


  1. Install the latest version of the FTW FLY app to your device.


  2. Place a fully charged battery in Hopper’s battery port.


  3. Wait for Hopper’s eyes to start blinking green. Hopper is now ready to connect to the device.


  4. Click on the connection icon and choose your Hopper’s name from the list. It will appear in the format Hopper_[serial number].


  5. Wait for Hopper's eyes to turn solid green and for the Connected circle on the app to turn green. Hopper and the device are now paired.


Flight Controls:


Click START FLYING to access flight controls in the FTW FLY app.


Takeoff and Landing − Click TAKEOFF and Hopper will begin to hover. Hopper is now ready for further commands. Click LAND and Hopper will land.


Left Controls − The controls on the left hand side of the control screen are responsible for vertical movements, which make Hopper climb or descend as well as yaw, which make Hopper spin either left or right.


Right Controls − The controls on the right hand side of the control screen are responsible for pitch and roll movement, which will move Hopper in the direction that you choose.


Changing Speed − To change Hopper’s speed, click on the settings icon and then on the Speed options. Hopper’s speed can be at Slow, Medium, or Fast.


Hopper Eye Light Indications Guide:

  • Flashing GREEN − indicates Hopper is ready and waiting for a connection

  • Flashing Green to Solid GREEN − indicates Hopper has made a connection

  • Flashing RED and GREEN − Hopper cannot take-off

    • Ensure Hopper is placed on a flat and level surface.

    • If Flashing RED and GREEN continues, remove and reinstall a fully-charged battery.

The force that allows an aircraft to move forward; allows an aircraft to overcome weight and produce lift; created by a motor turning a propeller

VLOS

VIsual Line of Sight - drone is visible to the pilot without any devices like binoculars
